20 Reasons Why Your Body Wants You to Drink This EVERY Morning!

Rise and shine, everybody!  Can I share my new mornin’ ritual with you?  This simple change in my daily routine has made a huge positive impact on my energy, skin, digestion, immune system, and weight goals just to name a few.

There was a time when I needed at least 2 cups of coffee before I would even consider myself functional.  I would zombie my way into the kitchen, start the black tar heroin machine and stumble through my morning’ tasks, until I was able to pour myself that nice warm boost of caffeine.  What I didn’t realize was that I was only further dehydrating my body, which was desperately needing water and this morning detox drink to truly get the boost I needed.

My Mornin’ Ritual Now:

  • Upon waking up, I brush my teeth, and then drink 1 liter of water.

This may seem like a lot of H20, but our bodies become dehydrated while we sleep, and  desperately wants us to drink water before anything else.  When I chug down my 1 liter of water, I feel more energy from the hydration than I do from a double espresso AND it gets the bowels movin’ to flush out those toxins!

  • After my water, I make my Morning Detox Drink which consists of the following: (Try to use organic ingredients as much as possible.)
    • The juice of half an organic lemon
    • 1 tbsp of Bragg Apple Cider Vineger (Get the kind that says, ” With the Mother”
    • 1/2 tsp of organic cayenne pepper (I buy my organic cayenne and organic turmeric in bulk at Sam’s club.)
    • 1/2 tsp of organic ginger
    • 1 cup of hot water (preferably in a cute coffee mug that puts a smile on my face) =D
    • (You can add a little bit of organic honey if you must, but I do mine without any sugar, as it helps diminish any sugar cravings I would have during the day.)

I combine all of these ingredients and drink it when the water is warm, but not piping hot.  I’m going to be perfectly honest with you, in my opinion, it doesn’t taste good whatsoever!  That being said, the amazing benefits of drinking this beverage far out weigh the taste profile, and most importantly I feel and see the difference in my body.  Give it a try and you’ll see that there are way more than 20 reasons why you should drink this too! =D
